This service requires an approved marriage notice from the Agency of Family Law (Familieretshuset). If you don’t have one, we can assist you in obtaining it – learn more
Please note that the marriage approval must be issued for the requested municipality no later than one week before the planned ceremony date.
This option allows you to choose a location that reflects your story – whether outdoors in nature or at a meaningful indoor venue.
We will, of course, provide recommendations and explain the general rules and conditions that apply to the chosen area. However, it is the couple’s own responsibility to find and secure the location where the ceremony will take place.
As part of Danish legal requirements, two witnesses must be present during the ceremony. You are responsible for bringing your own witnesses.
If witnesses are not present at the scheduled time, the ceremony cannot take place.
There may be several reasons for this, including legal regulations and the formal requirements that must be fulfilled in order for the marriage to be valid.
We are always here to guide you through the process – so you can focus on enjoying your special day.
